Sir Daniel Fortesques arm

I decided to draw a little different Medievil fanart ^^.
I worked a bit on arms and heraldic symbols and thought it would be nice to combine them with MediEvil.

Here the blazon:

As typical for scottish blazons, the slogan is above the shield. The helmet decoration shows the soul chalice - an important identification symbol - on a king's crown (typical for knights who were part of the king's army). This decoration was a very important part of the blazon, ist showed the echleon of the owner. 
The shield is split in two parts with a skull pattern. A skull was very rare as a symbol on shields, the meaning of it is unknown.
The bands around the shield are called mantling. Normally they should have the same colour as the shield, but I decided to use the main colours of Sir Daniel, silver and red.
